Welcome

Genealogy became a passion of mine when Mom gave me the rural photo you see here.
According to family legend it is of the Schultz family farm in the Winona County, MN area in 1874. The 1900 US Census indicated that the Dorothy Schultz lived in Homer Twp., Winona County, next to her daughters and that the family farms were actually in the names of Wilinski and Laska. The city of Winona sets on the western bank of the Mississippi River in the southeastern corner of Minnesota.

In October, 2012, I did find the farms that were deeded to Leon Laska and J. Wielinski on Homer Valley Rd., Winona Co., MN. I also obtained plat map copies from the Winona COunty Historical Society to support this information. GGG-Grandmother Dorothy Schultz lived with her daughter in 1900 on Homer Valley Rd.

I hope you will find a link to our family from the information I present here. Please contact me if you have questions, comments or conflicting information and especially if you are related.
