Sister Florentine Rajkowski, 96, a Sister of St. Joseph, Third Order of St. Francis, 1300 Maria Drive, died Tuesday at St. Joseph Convent Infirmary. Services will be held Thursday at 10:30am at St. Joseph Convent Chapel. The Rev. John N. Mauel will officiate. Burial will be in the convent cemetery. Friends may call after 4pm today at the convent parlor. A vigil service will be held at 6"30pm in the chapel. The Dzikoski/Pisarski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The former Frances Rajkowski was born Aug. 11, 1892 in Winona, Minn. She entered the Congregation of St. Joseph on May 10, 1907 and was admitted to the novitiate on Aug 12, 1909. She pronounced her vows on July 23, 1912 and her final commitment on Aug 5, 1918. Sister Rajkowski lived in religious vows for 81 years, havinh celebrated her diamond anniversary of religious life in 1984. Her teaching career included Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Nebraska, Minnesota and Wisconsin. After her long teaching career, Sister Rajkowski retired in 1970; however she tutored children until 1981. Sister Rajkowski is survived by nieces and nephews.
